RYA Level 1 & 2, the first and second step of the NSS (National Sailing Scheme), for those 16 and over wanting to learn how to sail. A full description of the course is available below. This course will be run over 2 consecutive weekends, for weekday courses, see here.
Cost: Non-Members £330, Members £280
Full 2024 course dates:
- 11th-12th & 18th-19th May
- 15th-16th & 22nd-23rd June
- 7th-8th & 14th-15th September
- 21st-22nd September & 5th-6th October (NOTE non-consecutive weekends)
Please select the first Saturday of your course from below (please note that all courses are 2 WEEKENDS long, and that you are automatically booked onto the second weekend):

Description
By the end of this 4 day course, you should be able to sail and make decisions in good conditions. This course will be run over 2 consecutive weekends, for weekday courses, see here.
The course covers how to:
- Rig
- Launch
- Sail in all directions
- Recover from a capsize
- Have essential safety knowledge.
