Level 1 – Start Powerboating
This course is an introduction to boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment. Level 1 is often taught as part of Level 2, however we may be abel to run a Level 1 course on request.

Level 2 – Powerboat Handling
This course focuses on low speed close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, driving at planing speed, and col-regs. It is the basic qualification required by most clubs, including Bowmoor, to drive our powerboats. The course is run over 2 days, and you do not need to have completed Level 1 previously.

RYA SAFETY BOAT
This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as an escort craft, safety boat or coach boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities. It is required by Senior instructors, and contains many useful skills for those supporting events and training.
BSC RESCUE BOAT
This one-day course builds upon the skills and background knowledge learned during the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course. Attendees should have a basic understanding of sailing boats. RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate must be held prior to this course. This course is only open to members of the Bowmoor Sailing Club.
