Camping facilities

Unfortunately there are no facilities for mains power in camping areas.
Potable water taps are situated at the western end of the clubhouse and boathouse.
Motorhomes and caravans, should never empty chemical toilet waste on site as it will disturb the septic tanks ability to digest waste. Use the clubhouse toilets instead.
A newly installed outdoor washing up area can be found at the back of the club house.
There are fridges and limited freezer capacity in the clubhouse. Please remove ALL your food at the end of your stay.
The members kitchen is available for washing up and limited cooking (microwave).
Please do not use the boiling water tap for filling kettles etc; it has a limited capacity and is there to make hot drinks. If you use the kitchen, please tidy up after yourself.

Security when camping

The main gate should be locked before sunset. Please note that the gate must be kept locked during major events such as RIAT.
The clubhouse should be locked overnight unless there are 5 or more families camping on site. When the clubhouse main door is left unlocked, the foyer light should be left on. If in doubt, lock the gate and clubhouse (all members have keys).

What about my rubbish?

Take your rubbish home with you after your stay. The clubhouse bins are only for waste from The Galley or meals eaten in the clubhouse or on the decking.
The external bins are for dry recycling and landfill waste, please use the appropriate bins if you really need to dispose of waste on site (cooking waste and dog waste are NOT dry-recyclable items).
We pay for this service, so please compact tins and plastic bottles to avoid bulking out the bins.

Bar-B-Q & Fires

The club Bar-B-Q’s  near the Boat Store should be used wherever possible so that they are off the grass and away from other people’s property. Fires can be lit but they must be off the ground so that they do not damage the grass, in containers and must not be a danger to you, to others or to property.
