A really brief Bowsprit this week, just to remind everyone that there is a members work party on Saturday.
The plan for the work party is to start at 9:30. We’ve got several jobs to do, some of which involve cleaning and painting, so please dress accordingly.
Please do join in, its a great community day.
The jobs include:
- Teak oiling the decking rails and benches (weather permitting)
- Washing the deck
- Filling holes in the car park
- Filling the holes in the track to the north of the boat park
- Painting in the Gents changing room
- Gloss to the wood around window frames in the clubhouse
- Spring clean the Bar and members kitchen
- Clean the committee boat
- Clean the buoyancy aids
- Clean the training boats
- Pressure wash slipways and jetty
- Clean the club pods
- Update some of the yellow buoys
There will be soup and a roll available for lunch.
Once the Committee Boat is clean, we'll also offer some briefing sessions for anyone who would like to get up to speed on the new boat. This will only take about twenty minutes as everything is set out ready to go.
A reminder for our Instructor Team:
- We’re hosting an RYA Training day on the 26th April, if you are an SI or DI then please sign up here.
- You will have received the availability email, please respond as requested by 30th March so that we can schedule you in. Thanks!
Also remember that this is the final week to sign up for Camp. There are still some spaces available in both the youth and adult groups, with groups covering abilities from post RYA level 2 through to those racing regularly. Sign up here.
One final reminder as it is a beautiful sunny day and 15°C right now: please do not drive on the grass yet, you'll probably get stuck!
On that happy note, it really feels like spring is here, see you at the club!
