Sunday Club Racing: University Windsurfing Event
From Charlie Sansom, Rear Commodore
This weekend Bowmoor will welcome 70 university windsurfers to compete in their Student Windsurf Nationals. To ensure the Sunday goes smoothly, club racing will start one hour early at 10:30am, and the races will be run back-to-back. The event brings in a good income for the club, and we ask that members are welcoming to our guests. If any member has concerns on either day, please speak to on of the flag officers.
Sailwave Training
From Charlie Sansom, Rear Commodore

On Sunday after racing at 2:00pm, the club will run a Sailwave training session. The training will take place in the James room. Please see the full training description below.

Sailwave is the software used to calculate racing results, and is used for both club racing and open meetings. The training will focus on the basics of using Sailwave to calculate racing results, and will give you the skills you need to assist with the results at club open meetings. If you are planning to attend, please could you let Charlie know via email on sailing@bowmoor.com. To get the most from this training, please consider bringing a laptop with Sailwave installed - Sailwave can be downloaded for free from https://www.sailwave.com/.
Lions Easter Egg
From Mike Read

Thank You, Bowmoor, once again for supporting the Lions Easter Egg Raffle. This year we are raising funds for Memory Lane Songsters.
We all know that music and singing help people who are lonely or have memory impairment (or both).  MLS is a free regular Friday activity where 20-30 people have a cup of tea, cake and joyfully sing songs from yesteryear! It is free and open for anyone to attend.
Lions help fund the activity, hire the hall,  provide transport in our minibus and occasionally join in the singing! It is an incredible and beneficial event to our local community. Music is live from the amazing “Kencott Ukes” and a support team of tea makers and servers!
