Happy Christmas Bowmoor Swimmers & Sailors!
It is hard to believe that we are at the final Bowsprit of the year already.
Looking back over 2024 it is clear that Bowmoor continues to grow and get stronger. Our success is entirely down to the efforts of members who share their time and work on behalf of us all. From big projects like the solar panels, to making sure the bar is stocked, maintaining our training fleet, or delivering club racing I'm really grateful for everything you do to make the club what it is today.
Bowmoor is a well know, respected, family sailing club. Our sailors and swimmers participate in events nationally and earn some great results. Locally we support charities that are close to us, like the Lions, but also the RNLI, Scouts and other youth groups. All because our members care and want to make a difference; it's great that Bowmoor can support you.
Today's Santa Splash is another example of members getting involved with a charity that they care passionately about, held to raise money for Healing Military Minds. Many thanks to Tom, Mike, Nigel, Hilary and Owen for supporting the event.
In January we will share more of the plans for 2025. But I do want to thank everyone who has already responded to the Dutyman invites!
All that remains is to wish Bowmoor members a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, I hope you enjoy a relaxing time with Friends and Family and look forward to catching up with you in the New Year.
