The four day Easter weekend was a really appreciated break, and while the weather didn’t always cooperate we had great sailing on Sunday (Beryl Edmonds Cup) and Monday (Sprint Racing). The current estimate is that we have around 1,800 people who have family membership and could come to the club; many thanks to the 1,799 who did not drive on the grass last weekend😊. Please continue to stay off the grass, it is far too wet to drive on.
With so many people who could visit the club, car parking becomes as issue. Please park in double rows, leaving space for members to access the cruising section boats at the back of the car park.
We’ve the working party coming up on the 27th, please put that date in the calendar! Many thanks already to Tim Embley for the grass cut in the play park and training park, Jonny Heathcote for fixing the tap in the members kitchen, and Bowmoor’s very own undercover gardener for the planted-up Optimist at the gate (supported by Steve Tanner). Thank you all!
This week we have the Dinghy Instructor Pre-Assessment on Wednesday, and the Assistant Instructor Pre-Assessment and Member Coaching on Saturday.
Many thanks to Pete Woods, John Banbrook and Doug Roberts for their help as OOD over Easter weekend. |
