Welcome to Spring at Bowmoor!

So far we've hosted two Open events, Supernovas and the combined RS300/Hadron H2 (results here) and last Monday we held a Lechlade Photographers meeting.  

The calendar is already looking full, and we've just added Otters Junior Sailing to the schedule.  I'm really pleased that Mark Benn has volunteered to keep this going, it's been really popular with our family members and supports the club's objective to promote sailing and ensure access to our sport.  More details below from Mark, and Esther Heathcote has created a sign-on page here.

I hope you are all having a fantastic start to 2026, and that where ever you and your family are in the world everyone is safe.

Saturday 21st March sees the return of Otters junior sailing. This allows juniors to develop confidence on the water with supervision and safety cover provided. This will run throughout the season one or two Saturday's a month from 10am to 12pm. Dates until the summer break are in the calendar with further dates tbc. For each session meet water ready on the deck at 10am.

Parents/guardians will need to stay and support with rigging, launching and recovery as well as all supervision shore based. Any volunteers for support would be greatly appreciated either regularly or as available. Activities will vary based on the weather but the main aim is to build water confidence. Club boats are available where required for this. 

Sign up in advance is required via website (button below) to facilitate planning for each week. Anyone wishing to volunteer to help out please contact me on mark_benn@hotmail.co.uk

Please note that this is not specific coaching and is aiming to run as a fun session for younger sailors with some informal instruction and run activities.
