Hello Bowmoor!
The club certainly hasn't slowed down into October.  This weekend John is offering double hander racing on Saturday.  Over half term Graham has organised member coaching and will also be putting a safety boat on the water during the week.  This year's halloween party will be on the 1st directly after member coaching.  Please take a look at both their notes below.

Even with the wet weather this week the lake is still struggling to recover back to the usual level for this time of year.  Perhaps tomorrow and Friday's wet and windy weather will help. +45kts of wind is a good reminder to make sure you tie down your boats!  Please do not drive on the grass from the end of October.

Doug also gave me a timely reminder the the discount for renewal ends soon, please see his note below.

Finally, we sent out the notice for the AGM (Bowmoor Sailing Club and Supporters Club) to members, and the agenda is captured below.

Plan would be to meet at the club around midday to rig, grab lunch, brief and then launch for around 1300-ish. I'll aim to set a course for asymmetric spinnaker boats but should be able to make it work for any double hander. Plan would be to run a number of self-help short races over a couple of laps until we've all had enough. No pressure, no results and just for kicks and dits. Summer members coach has been a success this year we have had over 70 members attend and most weeks we have had 5 groups out on the water.  I think its fair to say that the numbers have exceeded my expectations.  The last 2 dates of the season are fast approaching, the 25th of October and the 1st of November.  Either end of the half term holiday. So please feel free to sign up and join us if you haven't joined us yet!  With the half term, member training and Halloween all falling in 1 week, we have a busy time. We are planning to provide safety cover on the lake during the holiday,  some friendly racing and  2 training days.

25 October - Member Training
29 October - Safety cover 10-3. Open and friendly race at 3pm
30 October - Safety cover 10-3
31 October - Safety cover 10-3
1 November - Member training. Halloween Youth Sprints at 2pm
